A thermistor (or thermally sensitive resistor) is a resistor that changes resistance in response to a change in temperature.
They have two basic types:
- NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient)
- PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient)
NTC thermistors exhibit a decrease in resistance when temperature rises. PTC thermistors, on the other hand, show an increase in resistance. QTI manufactures both thermistor types in a diverse selection of package styles and resistance values.
Also, QTI offers customization for almost all of our sensors to meet your temperature sensing needs. We can also work with you to find the best housing, connector, handle or cable assembly for your application. We offer special probe packaging and labeling upon request.
