Founded in 1977 as Quality Thermistor, Inc., QTI Sensing Solutions was formed to meet the increasing demand for high quality electronic components for the aerospace industry. Since then, we’ve exceeded the requirements of some of the most stringent, high-cost-of-failure applications and changed the landscape of the entire industry’s supply chain. Not only that, but QTI has developed the highest standard for surface mount thermistors with the introduction of parts qualified to MIL-PRF-32192 along with NASA Goddard Space Flight Center qualified S311-P827 thermistors.
Today, QTI continues to supply the world’s top companies with innovative products and services. We maintain our leadership position for mission-critical applications, as well as HVAC/R, Medical, Pool/Spa, Food Service, and Water Heating markets. QTI's ISO 9001:2000 manufacturing facilities in Tecate, Mexico and our AS9100 certified testing facilities in Idaho allow us to support the most demanding Commercial and Aerospace/Defense applications.
Fabrication Site, Test Laboratory and Headquarters in Boise, ID
QTI’s Boise, Idaho location manufactures over 15 million NTC and PTC thermistor components each year, supplying sensing elements for applications ranging from spas to the Mars Rover.
QTI-Boise also maintains a full High-Reliability Test Lab capable of performing a variety of stress and accelerated life testing for thermistors, resistors, and capacitors used in Defense and Aerospace applications. The company’s headquarters are located in Boise as well.
Assembly Facility in Nampa, ID
Opened in 2011 to allow QTI to better serve customers through an expanded US Manufacturing presence. As we continue to expand our Aerospace and Defense product offering and manufacturing platform we are able to far exceed our competition in quality, delivery, and performance.
Assembly Facilities in Baja California, Mexico
Utilizing sensor elements from our Boise Fab, our Baja California Thermistor Facility annually assembles more than 15 million finished thermistors which are used in temperature sensor assemblies at our Probe Assembly Facility. Like our other locations, QTI owns and manages the Baja California locations, giving us production schedule flexibility and complete control of all processes and materials.
